I'M CURIOUS, WHAT IS PTA? 

The Carroll Elementary Parent Teacher Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization made up of hundreds of Carroll parents, grandparents, Carroll staff members, and community members who work to create the best possible educational experience for our kids and provide support for our teachers.  We advocate for ALL children in our community by providing programs on campus to enhance education, provide educational resources, and host on-campus events to bring our families together for community engagement.

We are striving for 100% membership! To achieve this goal. We need one member for every student at Carroll. This is so important, not only for our school, but also at the State level when it comes to fighting for better school funding and our “safer school” initiative. With your contribution, your child’s voice is heard. Texas PTA’s motto “EVERYONE can Back the Future” perfectly describes our mission here at Carroll. Your membership helps Carroll Elementary by fulfilling our purpose of advocacy, family engagement, member programs and teacher appreciation. 

Sounds great, how do I sign up? 

Annual membership fee is $11. By joining Carroll Elementary PTA, you will automatically be a member of the Texas PTA and National PTA.  Carroll has received multiple awards from both the Texas PTA and the Frisco ISD Council of PTAs for our outstanding parent, grandparent, staff, and community member support!  A heartfelt thank you to all of our PTA members!

IF I JOIN, DO I HAVE TO ATTEND MEETINGS? 

No meetings required!  Meetings are a great way to stay in-the-know with school happenings and we would love to have you, but your attendance is never mandatory.  Your membership alone makes a difference for Carroll!

AM I REQUIRED TO VOLUNTEER? 

No! Joining the PTA is not the same thing as signing up to volunteer.
However, if you choose to volunteer as your schedule allows, we would LOVE your help!  Volunteering is a great way to meet other parents and teachers and become involved in our school community.  There will be various volunteer opportunities available throughout the year so that we can accommodate a variety of schedules.  If you would like to browse our list of volunteer opportunities please visit our PTA Volunteer Opportunities Interest Form.  If you are a father or father figure, we recommend checking out our Watch DOGS program!
